A Beginning

October 2183

Damien Clark and Rosalina Brown were contracted by Simon Jackson to pick up a sensitive device from Noveria. Upon arrival in The Lucky Star they found out that comms were down. They docked and two Cerberus thugs tried to break into their ship and kill them as witnesses to what was later revealed to be raid in progress. Some deft piloting by Rosalina and a well placed burst of fire from Damien saw one troop dead and the other in their custody. They were handed over to Elanus Risk Control Services after the main Cerberus force departed and order was restored – it took some serious fast talking by Rosalina to convince a humourless Turian sergeant they were not also with Cerberus.

Noveria Development Corporation (NDC) Senior Aide Gianna Parasini helped them settle in with a discounted food and beverage deal at the Port Hanshan Hilton. Jackson then got in touch to say Cerberus stole the package from the facility and if they could help recon the area to find it that Elanus Risk Control Services would be contracted in to recover the device and neutralise any remaining Cerberus agents…all for extra bonus of course, which included perpetual free stays at the Hanshan Hilton.

Some low flying over an ice field to the West the following morning uncovered a shuttle matching the one the Cerberus raiding force used. Landing nearby the shuttle appeared abandoned and without power but closer inspection revealed a dampening device hiding it’s electronic signatures. Quickly calling in the Elanus forces a fierce fight took place and several Cerberus troops engaged in kamikaze style attacks while their apparent leader, escaped – not before revealing a notable biotic talent when stopping Damien’s well aimed shot with a barrier and getting a good look at each other.

After helping injured Elanus Risk Control Services personnel back to Port Hanshan their Captain, Maeko Matsuo gave them the recovered device with thanks, as well as an offer from Gianna Parasini to keep in contact for mutual benefit. They then went back to earth to enjoy their pay, with Jackson said he would be in touch with more work as it came up. He also recommended trying the CItadel for licenses as it would be cheaper and recognised not only in the Alliance Systems but throughout Citadel Space

With their first job finally over, and being in Switzerland in early October the only thing left to do was decide if a trip to Munich was in order…

From Omega With Love...

The Asari Lucara hired the PCs to take her to Omega. As part payment she promised a connection on a Terminus system world run by the Blood Pack would be able to fit their ship with stealth technology. Lucara seemed rather odd and kept herself mostly in her cabin out of everyone’s way. Despite learning she was being hunted by an Asari Justicar they took the job, with Matthew Herder’s soft side coming through – his cop instincts just didn’t register her as trouble.

The merc meeting went sour fast and they shot their way out without any stealth gear just in time to evade the Justicar’s ship. Some deft piloting by Rosalina saw them hide in the moon’s shadow until they felt it safe to hear to the Relay and on to Omega.

Omega turned out to be a lot of fun. Lucara at first simply left with a small sum offered that barely covered their costs. The Justicar arrived and Aria’s people popped by for a visit at the docks. The Justicar informed they Lucara was a murderer, Aria simply wanted her off the station and the PCs decided to track down Lucara independently, which involved a rather down and out part of Omega and a small ‘altercation’ with two Vorcha who saw wisdom after Damien Clark demonstrated his shooting skills and got her somewhere safe, namely a very out of the way ‘monastery’ for Asari with Lucara’s condition on Kallini, a very much out of the way Asari world that took time to reach.

Leaving empty handed, as Damien Clark repeatedly reminded them, they headed back to the sanity and relative safety of the Citadel and were pleasantly surprised to find the overseer of the Kallini monastery had sent a small sum of credits by way of thanks for bringing Lucara to them.

Of course, this left the small matter of having directly opposed an Asari justicar on their heads…which, like their rather direct anti-Cerberus stance will probably have future consequences…
